Public Access TV Provides:

Television production classes, access to production equipment, cablecast of programming, Web Video On Demand programming via PegCentral, TV produced locally, Digital/video editing classes, support and supervision, additional production services for community service organizations and area non-profits.

Send Your Programs-
The public can submit programs produced outside our facilities, providing proper releases are given and programs are formatted to allow for playback. In order to have the program aired on cable you must file a request form and identify a producer.

What is public access?
Public access television is a non-commercial forum through which individuals can express their opinions, perspectives and information to the community members through cable television.

What does it mean to me?
Public access television means that you, your club or civic organization, after completing digital video training, can be producing non-commercial, informational, educational or entertainment television programming for local audiences.

Who is my audience?

The communities of St. Louis, Ithaca, Alma, Pine River Township, Arcada Township, the villages of Breckenridge, Shepherd, The Charter Township of Union, the cities of Mount Pleasant, Clare and Harrison.

Are there any requirements for shows?
Your show CANNOT contain:
* Commercial Content
* Slander or Libel
* Obscene Material
Shows containing lewd language or violent content must be aired during night-time hours.

Can anyone produce a show?
To qualify you must be at least 12 years of age or older, a resident of any member community listed above, and a Charter Communications subscriber.

Do we have to produce our show in-house?
No, you can send in your program as long as you are a resident of any of the above member communities. Your show must be on either DVD-R or VHS and a request form must be completed along with the producer's name and consent in order to have the program cablecast.

What channel is programming aired on?
Basic programming is aired on channel 99, while government access programming is aired on channel 96.
